Phan Thiet and the adjoining Mui Ne beach are ideal spots to escape the hustle and bustle of Saigon without having to travel too far.

Visitors are immediately struck by the charming seaside city and its gaily painted boats, the nearby 8th century Cham Towers and the endless beaches of Mui Ne.

Venture onto the beach early enough and you can join the locals in hauling in the catch for the morning.

Sightseeing tours can be arranged by jeep, minivan  and bikes (upon availability).
